Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinion, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.
-Oscar Wilde
Since junior high (maybe even a little before then), I was frustrated to the highest point of frustration because so many people I knew were basing their opinions on opinions from others. From history to current events to pop culture, it seemed like nobody was thinking for themselves anymore. I’m talking about both students and adults.
Of course it’s hard to have a different opinion than others when everyone is getting the same bias facts. I think that’s one of the main reasons my school experience was soured from junior high on up.
